CEMIARC in Retrospect!

The Center was originally known as Amas Seed Farm (ASF) under the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI). It was established and acquired on September 17, 1973 from Municipal Reservation No. 297 (RA Lanzones Reservation).

The then Amas Seed Farm became Kidapawan Station Complex and renamed as Regional Integrated Agricultural Research Stations (RIARS) in 1982. By virtue of Administrative Orders No. 6 & 19 Series of 1991, the RIARS was renamed into Regional Integrated Agricultural Research Center (RIARC). For Region XII, the RIARC was named Central Mindanao Integrated Agricultural Research Center (CEMIARC) representing the Central Mindanao Region. With the approval of Executive Order No. 36 issued September 19, 2001 reorganizing Region XII, Lanao del Norte province was transferred to Region X and Marawi City to ARMM.

On the other hand, South Cotabato and Sarangani Provinces which were originally under Region XI were transferred to Region XII.  Affected stations were also transferred and renamed. Under the reconfigured Region XII (known as SOCCSKSARGEN), the following stations were  renamed:
