TRAININGS IN SUPPORT TO CPAR PROJECT...

Mr. Geoffrey R. Atok receiving the certificate of recognition from CM Eduardo B. SolomonA two-day training  on  goat, duck, fish and vermi production  in support to the Community-Based Participatory Action Research (CPAR) was conducted on  February 3-4, 2010 at Barangay Hall, Lepaga, Mlang, Cotabato.

Twenty (20)  CPAR cooperators (10 from Brgy.Lepaga and 10 from  Brgy. Gaunan) successfully completed the two-day training.

Another training on February 10-11,2010 was also conducted at Maasim, Sarangani for thirtheen (13) CPAR Cooperators from Barangay Kabatiol and Barangay Kablacan of the said municipality. The training was focused on Values Reorientation, Banana and goat production.

Technical experts  from different agencies (USM, OPA and ATI) and DA-CEMIARC staff were requested to render lectures to the farmer cooperators to enhance their  skills and capabilities which is very vital during the implementation of the 2-year CPAR Projects.

Farmer participants during the training on February 3-4, 2010, Lepaga, Mlang, Cotabato These trainings  conducted is one of the component of the Project Entitled “Farming System Approach through CPAR in Mlang, Cotabato” and “Community-Based Participatory Action Research (CPAR) in the municipality of Maasim, Sarangani Province with Emphasis on Agri-Industry Livelihood Project.”. The projects are being funded by DA-BAR and implemented by DA-CEMIARC  in coordination with the PLGUs of  Cotabato and Sarangani, MLGUs of Mlang and Maasim.

The trainings were successful through  the leadership of the Project and Asst.Project Leaders with the full support of the  Center Manager Eduardo B. Solomon, ACM for Technical Programs Ernie A. Garcia  and CEMIARC Staff.

 

Rice and Oil Palm Production Training for CPAR Beneficiaries Conducted

Forty (40) CPAR Beneficiaries from Brgy. Lepaga, Mlang, Cotabato  attended and successfully finished a two-day training on Rice and Oil Palm Production on November 19-20, 2009 held at Brgy. Multipurpose Hall , Lepaga, Mlang, Cotabato.

CPAR TRAINING CONDUCTED

The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) has allocated financial support to DA-XII-CEMIARC for the implementation of CPAR projects. One of these projects is “ Enhancement of Agri-Industry Development Program in Community Based Participatory Action Research (CPAR) Sites in Sultan Kudarat (Agri-Industry Development Program in CPAR Sites)”.
