An early achiever in her field of interest, there’s no doubt women power reigns, as she is the first woman Center Chief of DA-CEMIARC for Upland and Lowland, Tupi, South Cotabato.

Born on September 28, 1959, she spent her elementary years at Marbel Elementary School ( 1972), secondary at the Notre Dame of Marbel for Girls ( 1976 ), college from the University of Southern Mindanao ( USM, College scholar,, BSA, 1981 ) and her graduate studies also at USM ( MS Crop Protection, 1994 ) and Ph.D. in Agricultural Science ( USM, 2004 ).

A very motivated young blood of numerous talents and considerable self-discipline, she rose from the ranks as casual Assistant Researcher at the then  Ministry of Agriculture and Food and then as  (permanent) Plant Entomologist I, Agronomist III, Agriculturist II, and to Senior Agriculturist and then to her designation today as OIC Agricultural Center Chief III.

Her enthusiasm and passion for professional career development has inspired and prompted her to pursue her Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Science major in Plant Pathology ( USM, 2004) while working and the same time taking care of her family. A decision she never regrets as it has contributed so much in her upscale trek to where she fittingly belongs today.

With a heavy pack of educational background and range of experiences, and her consistently pleasant management, there’s no doubt she will pave the way for Research and Development breakthroughs and outstanding accomplishments in the Department of Agriculture.

Her efforts have produced high quality outputs time and again, as she shares incredible creative ideas and refreshing idealism with confidence.

True enough, this likable lady leader, doting mother of five ( Michael Lawrence, Michelle Lorraine, Mitchell Louie, Lorenzo Jr., and Mark Lorenz ) and most especially a lovely Lorna to husband  LORENZO, really deserves our salute!
