PROUDLY LOOKING BACK...

RTD Mustapha G. Ismael

{jcomments off}Retirement no longer means the end of work. It is a time to look back with pride and satisfaction on years well- lived and look forward to all the things you’re yet to enjoy.

Come February 18, 2010, MUSTAPHA GAPAS ISMAEL will be  formally bidding government service “goodbye”. As he says, “ I am retiring with empty pocket, full of wisdom”. With  thirty six (36) years in his professional career, he rose from the ranks of Livestock Poultry Inspector, Livestock Poulty Technologist, Supervising  Agricultural Development Specialist, Director III, and to his designation today as Regional Technical Director for Policy, Planning, Research and Development.

He finished his  Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) from the Araneta University Foundation (AUF, 1967) and graduate studies from the University of Southern Mindanao (USM, 1992, Master of Public Service-Development Management) and an international course on Tropical Animal Production ( University of Waginingen, Netherlands, 1979).

As an active Regional Technical Director, he steered the Research and Development program for CEMIARC, is an active advocate of Halal Food  R and D, as well as the whole programs of the Agriculture sector in the Region. He performed every task with excellence and energy.

One of his greatest milestones according to him is that, in his stint in the government service, he sowed goodwill to his peers, subordinates, as well as his superiors. Some piece of advise he shares- “for a successful happy life, never detach yourself from the Almighty”

With all the challenges he has survived, he still hopes to redirect other plans he has, that might have been overlooked and strive to accomplish and make it happen in the years to come.

After retirement, Sir Taphs plans to be a full time agriculturist. He plans to apply all the agricultural technologies he has learned to his farm and still be an active Researcher. With all his trainings and  credentials, he’ll surely come a long way.

His energy, friendliness, deep kindness and consideration is something we will never forget!

May you always look back
With fond memories
For a new life of ease
And may you always
Find time to do as you please
May GOD bless you
As you retire!!

To Sir Taphs- CONGRATULATIONS AND GODSPEED !!!
