MULTIFIBER STRIPPER PRODUCES RAW MATERIAL FOR BANANA PAPER
Multifiber tandem stripperFired up by passion for fabrication and design of agricultural machineries, The Agustin General Engineering Services (AGES), at Midsayap, North Cotabato, comes up with its latest innovative machine called “multifiber tandem stripper” which he started designing and fabricating in 2007 and started its distribution only this 2008.
Engineer HOSPICIO LUARCA AGUSTIN Jr., is a well known designer/fabricator of various agricultural machineries. He has had successful designs in the past that include feed hammer mills, village level grain millers, grass mowers, to name a few.
The multifiber tandem stripper produces raw fiber from banana trunks which are aplenty and usually goes to waste in farms. This machine was conceptualized through the request of a cooperative in Davao City that produces banana paper from banana fiber that eventually produces various novelty items (cards, bags, slippers, etc.) The double-drum tandem stripper according to Engr. Agustin produces 1,000 kgs of banana fiber per hour as well as fibers from pineapple, ramie, kenaf.
Fueled by diesel, the machine costs Php 114,000.00 including the engine. Delivery and/or shipment is negotiable. Preceding this machine was the single- drum stripper (also available) which was redesigned into a double-drum tandem machine which has now a bigger output capacity compared to the single drum machine. With a higher output capacity, this tandem machine is operated by two (2) persons. In its initial test operation, the desired product was found to be of superior quality, with no complicated operation and with ease in handling.
From the simplest peanut sheller, Engr. Agustin can fabricate and design a much more complex machine at the request and immediate need of clients that would ease up workloads and produce quality products. On the other hand he has also recently fabricated and designed an Ethanol Distilling machine that produces high grade ethanol from crops with sugar, starch and cellulose wastes (i.e sugarcane).
Always inspired and humbled by his designs and fabrications, Engineer Jun Agustin promises to continue easing up workloads through his inventions and designs. Keep in touch through: Telefax – (064)229 8400 or 09167317406 or
